Lavenham pub celebrates 2nd birthday and reveals expansion plan.

Popular pub, the Lavenham Greyhound, is marking its second birthday with news that it is planning to expand and renovate its kitchen and dining areas.

The expansion at the pub will see the kitchen double in size, the restaurant area increase to up to 80 covers and a renovation of the outside space which will include a relaxing decked area for outdoor dining.

It’s been a busy year for the Greyhound, which has recently welcomed Daniel Smallbone as its new head chef. Having started his career at Le Talbooth in Dedham, Dan also worked at a number of country pubs and 5-star hotels before realising his ambition to become head chef.

Commenting on his new appointment, Dan Smallbone said; “It has been a pleasure joining the team here at the Greyhound and receiving some great feedback on our menu. As we celebrate our second birthday, I am really excited about the future of the pub and how we can continue to offer our customers the very best food, drink and service.”

The Lavenham Greyhound serves food every day between 10am- 10pm and offers a varied food menu from smaller savoury bites to larger plates, burgers and steaks as well as Sunday lunches, choices for kids and party food.

The pub also serves a selection of real ales, and has recently been awarded the Cask Marque in recognition of the quality ales on offer. The robust drinks menu also includes a gin menu, cocktails, wines and champagnes.

The Lavenham Greyhound is part of Stuart Inns Group who also manage the Long Melford Swan and The Hadleigh Ram.
